Can not Penance Via iPhone

VATICAN CITY, Catholics could not perform recognition via iPhone, said the Vatican, after the launch of an 'application recognition' that the U.S. Catholic Church approved.

Father Federico Lombardi, Vatican spokesman, said the technology is not a substitute for attendance when confess sins to a priest. "People can not do confession of sin through the iPhone," said Father Lombardi was quoted as saying by the Telegraph on Wednesday (09/02/2011). He asserted, confession in the presence demands recognition sakremen people are willing to repent and pastors. "It can not be replaced by any IT application," added Lombardi.

The application is called "Confession: an application of the Roman Catholic", is expected to be first approved by the authority of the church, which helps people receive the sacrament of confession in the Catholic and contains what is described as "a personal examination of conscience for every user." The application was not designed to replace the current presence of recognition but to help the Catholics do it.
