Chinese semiconductor company, Spreadtrum Communications claims to have developed a single-chip technology that can accommodate four GSM sim card numbers at once. Chip solution is considered the first in the world. An innovation that is very profitable, because most of us are still many who use more than two cards.
As quoted from Ubergizmo, the single chip entitled SC6600L6 allows four GSM simcard operated simultaneously in one phone only. SC6600L6 allowing four runs GSM sim cards simultaneously on the stand to ride baseband and radio frequency the same. This product supports multisim different options, including dual SIM, SIM triple, and four SIM in a set of baseband and RF chip, providing more options for handset designers and meet the needs of users from different regions.
